Mrs. Ruth K. Clausen Groteluschen, 80, of Columbus died Thursday at Columbus Community Hospital after a three-week illness.
Services will be 10 a.m. Monday at Immanuel Lutheran Church with the Rev. Maurice W. Goldhammer and the Rev. Roland Jank officiating. Burial will be in Columbus Cemetery.
Visitation will be after 1 p.m. Sunday at McKown Funeral Home and from 9 a.m. until the hour of service at Immanuel Lutheran Church Monday. There will be a family prayer service at 9:45 a.m. Monday at the church.
Mrs. Groteluschen was born Jan. 11, 1901 in Stanton County to Henry and Marie (Vatthauer) Landwehr.
She was married to her first husband, Albert Clausen, Feb. 9, 1921 at Immanuel Lutheran Church. Clausen died in 1941 and she married Conrad Groteluschen Jan. 29, 1950. A housewife, she also was an employee of Reece Wooden Sole Shoe Company for 21 years before her retirement.
She was a member of Immanuel Lutheran Church, Fellowship League, Country Ladies Aid and several women's clubs.
Survivors include one son, Harold H. Clausen, Columbus; one daughter, Mrs. Ted (Dorothy) Matzen, Escondido, Calif.; seven grandchildren; three great-grandchildren; one sister, Mrs. Martha Behle, and one brother, Walter Landwehr Sr., Columbus.
She was preceded in death by her parents; husbands, Albert Clausen in 1941 and Conrad Groteluschen in 1959; brother, Arnold Landwehr; and sister, Mrs. Herbert (Meta) Arndt. [ColfaxDeutschlandPlatte.FBK.FTW]
