From THE COLUMBUS (NE.) TELEGRAM, January 5, 2006-
Elmer H. Loseke, 93 of Leigh, Nebraska died Tuesday, January 3, 2006 at the Schuyler Hospital, Schuyler, Nebraska.
The funeral service will be on Friday, January 6 at 10:30 AM at the Gass Haney Funeral Home with Rev. Theresa Meyer officiating. Interment will be in the Roselawn Memorial Cemetery in Columbus. Visitation will be on Thursday from 4:00 PM - 7:00 PM and continue on Friday from 9:30 AM until service time, all at the Gass Haney Funeral Home. There will be a family prayer service on Friday at 10:15 AM also at the funeral home. Memorials are donor's choice. A lunch will be served at Wunderlich's Catering immediately following the committal service.
Elmer H. Loseke was born February 29, 1912 in rural Colfax County, Nebraska to Henry and Lizzie (Schutte) Loseke. He attended rural District #43 School in Colfax County. On October 28, 1936, Elmer was united in marriage to Lyda Koch in Columbus, Nebraska. They farmed in the Colfax County until 1962 when Elmer started his dirt work operation. He retired in 1984. Elmer was a member of St. John's Lutheran Church in Leigh. He enjoyed fishing and hunting.

Grandchildren - Craig (Huichun) Pinkley, Dawn (Joe) Steggall, Linn Miller, and Terri (Steve) Bauder
Great Grandchildren - Cory Pinkley, Michelle Pinkley, Ryan Steggall, Cole Miller, Hannah Bauder, and Danielle Bauder
