      From The COLUMBUS TELEGRAM, October 25 1907-

      MULLER/MUELLER, HEINRICH [March 7, 1821 - October 19, 1907]

      At the age of eighty-six years John Juergen Henry Mueller, one of the oldest and best known among the German pioneers in this part of the country, died last Saturday night at the old home farm, six miles northeast of Columbus. Heart failure, and ailments peculiar to old age, was the cause of death. The funeral service was conducted by Rev. G Deninger Tuesday afternoon at the Loseke church, and attended by many Columbus people who had long known and admired Mr. Mueller in life. Mr. Mueller was a native of Wiechmansburg, Hanover, Germany. He was born March 7, 1821. At the age of twenty -five years he was married in Germany, and came to America in 1869. After a residence of two years in Wisconsin he came to Platte county. His wife died four years ago. The surviving children are Fred Mueller and William Mueller, residing in the old home neighborhood; Mrs. J. Kumpf, of this city; and Miss Dorathea Mueller, living in Germany.
