      Evelyn E. Muth, 81 of Columbus, Nebraska, died Monday, July 2, 2007, at the Golden Living Center in Columbus.

      The funeral service will be held on Friday, July 6, at 10:30 AM at Peace Lutheran Church in Columbus with the Rev.'s Michael Klatt and Ernest Smith officiating. Interment will be in the St. John's Lutheran Cemetery (14 miles north), rural Columbus. Visitation will be held on Thursday from 4:00 PM - 8:00 PM at the Gass Haney Funeral Home and continue on Friday from 9:30 AM until service time at the church. There will be a family prayer service on Friday at 10:15 AM also at the church. Memorials are suggested to Peace Lutheran Church.

      Evelyn Muth was born on November 11, 1925 in Columbus, Nebraska, to Walter and Clara (Wurdeman) Marty. She was baptized and confirmed at Christ Lutheran Church in rural Columbus where she also attended grade school. On April 8, 1950, Evelyn was united in marriage to Ewald Muth at Christ Lutheran Church. Evelyn worked at Becton Dickinson for several years, retiring in 1975. After Ewald passed away on December 18, 1970, Evelyn married his brother Walter on April 12, 1975 at St. John's Lutheran Church. Walter passed away on December 18, 2003. Evelyn was a member of Peace Lutheran Church where she was active in several church organizations. She was a member of the Disabled American Vet's, enjoyed garden work, doing crafts, and loved to sing.

      Daughter - Gloria Muth of Columbus, NE
      Son - Gary (Lynn) Muth of Columbus, NE
      Grandson - Jamey Muth of Kearney, NE
      Grandson - Trev Muth of Columbus, NE
      Sister - Ellen (Bob) Engel of Columbus, NE

      Husbands - Ewald Muth and Walter Muth
