      A memorial service for Edward F. Lusche, 83, of Columbus will be held at 2 p.m. Wednesday in Trinity Lutheran Church. Rev. Paul Rowoldt will officiate.

      He died Friday at Columbus Manor. Lusche has donated his body to the Creighton University School of Medicine in Omaha.

      Memorials may be given to a charity of the donor's choice.

      Born Dec. 1, 1896, to George and Catherine Distler Lusche northeast of Columbus in Platte County, he was educated in the District 44 School.

      He married Lena Schwank on June 4, 1919, in the Evangelical and Reformed Church in Columbus.

      The couple farmed until 1935 when they moved to Phoenix, Ariz. They lived there briefly before returning to Columbus.

      Lusche was a member of Trinity Lutheran Church.

      He is survived by his wife; two sons, LaVern Lusche of Littleton, Colo., and Norris Lusche of Lakewood, Colo.; six grandchildren and seven great-grandchildren.
