      SCHUYLER - Adolph H. Loseke, 87, of Schuyler, died Thursday, May 22, 2003,
      at Beverly Nursing Home in Schuyler.

      Services are 10:30 a.m. Saturday at Svoboda Funeral Home North Chapel in
      Schuyler with the Rev. Peter Jark-Swain officiating. Burial will be in the
      Schuyler Cemetery.

      Visitation will be noon-8 p.m. today with the family present 6-8 p.m. and
      will continue 8:30-10:30 a.m. Saturday, all at the North Chapel.

      Mr. Loseke was born Feb. 10, 1916, to Alfred and Rose (Schindler) Loseke in
      Colfax County. He attended Colfax County District 41 and Langley School in
      Colfax County.

      He married Alice Vrba on Nov. 21, 1939 in Schuyler.

      He was a retired farmer. He had served on the District 41 School Board, the
      Election Board and the ASCS Committee for many years.

      He was a member of St. John's Lutheran Church at Shell Creek. He was a
      resident of Beverly Nursing Home since January 2002.

      Survivors include his wife; one son, Tom (Debra) Loseke of Columbus; two
      daughters, Judy (Emil) Ruzicka of Morrison, Colo., and Pat (Marvin) Hladky
      of Schuyler; two brothers, Douglas (Celestine) Loseke of Lincoln, and Norman
      (Marie) Loseke of Schuyler; a sister-in-law Ema Loseke of Schuyler; two
      grandsons; two step-grandchildren; three great-grandchildren; and one
      step-great-grandchild.

      He was preceded in death by one brother, Alvin Loseke; and two sisters,
      Margaret Loseke and Adeline Schneider.
