Clarence Barjenbruch and Dr. C. D. Eby led in the votes for the members of the school board and the present incumbents, Messrs. Hahn, Glandt and Kumpf, were again named to the Village board. _____________________ From THE LEIGH (NE.) WORLD, December 12, 1947- Clarence Barjenbruch received a compound fracture of his ankle while changing a tire on a tractor. The jack slipped from the tractor, and in trying to get out of the way, in such a manner, broke his ankle. _____________________ From THE LEIGH (NE.) WORLD, February 13, 1948 - Mr. Clarence Barjenbruch, of the Leigh Implement Company of Leigh, has accepted an appointment to act as farm labor representative for the labor representative for the Nebraska State Employment Service. The appointment is announced by Oscar W. Wilk, Manager of the Columbus Office. These men will act as contact men between farmers and farm workers. In other words, they will assist farmers in getting needed help and assist farm laborers in finding jobs on farms. They will work in close cooperation with the Employment Office at Columbus.
