Annette Johannes, 86, of Columbus, Nebraska, passed away peacefully Monday, June 2, 2008, at the Countryside Home in Madison, Nebraska.
The funeral service will be Thursday, June 5, 10:30 A.M. at Immanuel Lutheran Church with Rev. Kurt Ebert officiating. Interment will be in the Roselawn Memorial Cemetery. Visitation will be on Wednesday from 4:00 - 8:00 P.M. at the Gass Haney Funeral Home and on Thursday from 9:30 - 10:30 A.M. at the church with a family prayer service at 10:15 A.M.
Annette Johannes was born November 23, 1921, in Columbus, Nebraska, to William and Helena (Muth) Heins. She attended District 22 and Zion Lutheran Schools in Platte Center, Nebraska. On June 17, 1942, Annette married Paul Johannes in Platte Center. Annette worked at various places in Columbus. Annette was an avid gardener and bird collector.
