      LEIGH - Alice P. Deichmann, 90, of Leigh died Sunday, June 10, 2001, at Columbus Community Hospital Inc.

      Services are 10 a.m. Wednesday at Zion Lutheran Church in Leigh with the Rev. Paul L. Rowoldt officiating. Burial will be at Zion Lutheran Cemetery in Leigh.

      Visitation will be 3-8 p.m. today at Leigh Memorial Funeral Chapel and 9-10 a.m. Wednesday at the church.

      Mrs. Deichmann was born Sept. 29, 1910, at Leigh to Adolph and Ida (Barjenbruch) Asche. She attended Zion Parochial School in Leigh.

      She married Ewald Deichmann on April 24, 1935, in Leigh. She and her husband farmed southwest of Leigh until moving to Leigh in 1971. She lived her entire life in the Leigh area, until recently when she moved in with her sister.

      She was a member of the church and a former member of the Ladies Aid. She enjoyed crocheting and gardening.

      Survivors include one sister, Olga Asche of Columbus.

      She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband in August 1974; and one sister, Florence Mullenhoff.
