From THE COLUMBUS (NE.) TELEGRAM, August 1, 2001-
CREIGHTON -- Judith E. Wurdeman, 57, of Verdigre, formerly of Columbus, died Monday, July 30, 2001, at Methodist Hospital in Omaha, following a lengthy illness of cancer.
Services are 10:30 a.m. Thursday at Bethlehem Lutheran Church in Verdigre with the Rev. Terry Huber officiating. Burial will be at Riverside Cemetery in Verdigre.
Visitation will be 3-8 p.m. today at the Brockhaus Funeral Home in Verdigre.
Mrs. Wurdeman was born June 1, 1944, at Lincoln to Eldon and Myrtle (Rottler) Panska. She graduated from Murdock High School and attended Lincoln School of Commerce.
She married James Wurdeman on Oct. 15, 1966, at Murdock. They farmed west of Verdigre for the past 19 years.
She was a member of the church and the Altar Guild and was a past 4-H leader.
Survivors include her husband; one daughter, Rebecca (Shane) Thorstad of Altoona, Iowa; one son, Chad Wurdeman of Verdigre; three grandchildren; one brother, Jim (Renea) Panska of Murdock; one sister, Sharon (Marvin) Steward of Elmwood; and her mother of Murdock.
She was preceded in death by her father.
