  _P_CCINFO 2-14330 From THE GASS HANEY FUNERAL HOME ARCHIVES- Edna L. Inselman, 90, of Leigh, Nebraska, died Wednesday, March 25, 2009, at the Columbus Community Hospital. The funeral service will be on Saturday, March 28 at 3:00 PM at the Christ Lutheran Church, rural Columbus, with Rev. John E. Nelson, Jr. officiating. Interment will be in the parish cemetery. Visitation will be on Friday from 5:00 PM - 8:00 PM at the Gass Haney Funeral Home and continue on Saturday from 2:00 PM until service time at the church. There will be a family prayer service on Saturday at 2:45 PM at the church. Memorials are the donor's choice. Edna was born July 21, 1918, in Leigh, Nebraska, to Ernst and Anna (Bakenhus) Otte. She received her education at Colfax County District #46 and Christ Lutheran School. On September 1, 1940, Edna was united in marriage to Hugo Inselman at Christ Lutheran Church. They farmed in the Creston and Leigh areas all their lives. Edna worked the farm with Hugo and enjoyed gardening, canning, and baking cakes for weddings, graduations and special occasions. She was a member of the Christ Lutheran Ladies Aid, the Leigh Woman's Club, and a very active member of the LWML (Lutheran Women's Missionary League) where she was a member of the Nebraska North District Retreat Commission in 1982.
