      CLARKSON - Lawrence Indra, 95, of Clarkson, died July 6, 2005, at Colonial Manor Nursing Home in Clarkson.

      Services will be at 10:30 a.m. Monday at New Zion Presbyterian Church in Clarkson, with the Rev. Dr. Earl F. Underwood, Jr. officiating. Burial is at Clarkson National Cemetery. Lunch will be served at the church following the service. Visitation is from 4-7 p.m. Sunday at Miller Funeral Home in Clarkson and from 9:30-10:30 a.m. Monday at the church.

      Mr. Indra was born May 8, 1910, near Clarkson, to Joseph and Frances (Malena) Indra. He went to school at District No. 42 and then graduated from Clarkson High in 1927.

      He married Eleanor Tobias Feb. 20, 1935, at the rectory at New Zion Presbyterian Church in Clarkson. They made their home on a farm northwest of Clarkson for several years before moving to a farm southwest of Clarkson. They farmed for several years. They began spending their summers at Yellowstone Park in Wyoming, where they operated Tower Falls Store, a souvenir shop. After his wife's death in 1972, he sold the farm and moved in to Clarkson. He enjoyed playing the accordion, dancing, playing horse shoes, traveling and raising German Shepherds.

      Survivors include three nieces, Audrey (Henry) Brock of Humphrey, Doris (Orville) Busse of Columbus and Eleanor (Roland) Loseke of Florida; and one nephew, Dennis (June) Sousek of Colorado.?

      He was preceded in death by his wife and one brother, William.
