Clarence Hake, 84 of Columbus, Nebraska died Tuesday, December 20, 2005 at Beverly Healthcare in Columbus, Nebraska.
The funeral service will be on Friday, December 23, 2005 at 10:30 A.M. at the Christ Lutheran Church, rural Columbus, with Rev. John E. Nelson Jr. officiating. Interment will be in the Christ Lutheran Cemetery with military honors by Platte Center American Legion Parry Post #283. Visitation will be on Thursday from 3:00 - 7:00 P.M. at the Gass Haney Funeral Home and continue on Friday from 9:30 - 10: 30 A.M. at the church with a family prayer service at 10:15 A.M. Memorials may be directed to donor's choice.
Clarence was born March 20, 1921 in Columbus, Nebraska to Emil and Rosa (Wurdeman) Hake. Clarence attended District 15 and Christ Lutheran Schools. He entered the U.S. Army on August 22, 1942 and served in WWII. He attained the rank of Master Sergeant and was honorably discharged on February 2, 1946. After the service, Clarence returned to the Columbus area and farmed all his life for Werner Hake. Clarence was a member of Christ Lutheran Church where he served as an elder and an usher. He was a past commander of the Platte Center American Legion. He enjoyed bowling and fishing.

Sister: Edna (Harold) Mohlman of Platte Center, NE
18 nieces and nephews
