COLUMBUS--Herbert W. Grotelueschen, 84, of Schuyler died Friday, Aug. 2, 1991, at Schuyler Memorial Hospital.
Funeral services are 10 a.m. Tuesday at St. John's Lutheran Church-Shell Creek, northeast of Columbus, with the Rev. Jeff Fricke officiating. A family prayer will be at 9:45 a.m. Burial will be in Calvary Cemetery.
Visitation is 2-9 p.m. Monday at Gass-Haney Funeral Chapel in Columbus and 9-10 a.m. Tuesday at the church.
Mr. Grotelueschen was born July 28, 1907, in Colfax County to August and Emma (Voss) Grotelueschen. He was educated at District 8 school in Colfax County.
He married Esther Klug Aug. 19, 1936, at St. John's Lutheran Church Shell Creek. Mr. Grotelueschen was a farmer and lived in Colfax County all his life.
Mr. Grotelueschen served on the District 8 school board, the Colfax County Agricultural Society Board, the farmers' elevator board in Richland and as a 4-H leader. He was a member of St. John's Lutheran Church-Shell Creek, served on the church council and was involved in Lutheran Church Men.
Mr. Grotelueschen is survived by one son, Allen, and one grandson.
He was preceded in death by his wife, one son, two brothers and one sister.
Memorials are suggested to St. John's Lutheran Church-Shell Creek.
