      From THE COLUMBUS (NE.) TELEGRAM, June 9, 2001-

      COLUMBUS - LeRoy A. Frese, 90, of Bozeman, Mont., formerly of Columbus, died Tuesday, June 5, 2001, at Bozeman Deaconess Hospital.

      Services are 11 a.m. Monday at Peace Lutheran Church in Columbus with the Rev. Michael Klatt officiating. Burial will be at Roselawn Memorial Cemetery in Columbus.

      There will be no visitation.

      Mr. Frese was born Sept. 6, 1910, in Platte County to Adolph and Josephine (Loseke) Frese. He married Velma Grotelueschen on March 1, 1936. He farmed north of Columbus for many years.

      Survivors include his wife; two sons, Leland (Jeanette) Frese of Cupertino, Calif., and Paul (Rachel) Frese of Lombard, Ill.; one daughter, Rachel (Larry) Holle of Bozeman; one sister, Georgia (Art) Wilke of Osmond; nine grandchildren; and 12 great-grandchildren.

      He was preceded in death by his parents; two brothers, Gerhard Frese and Lloyd Frese; and three sisters, Alice Frese, Dora Frese and Bernice Stevenson.
