She was accompanied by her younger sister, Elizabeth, and younger brother Jakob. The ship's passenger list shows her name as DOROTHEE. (GERMANS TO AMERICA PASSENGER LISTS, Ira A. Glazier and P. William Philby). The ship's manifest also shows Alexander Erb accompanied them; a third cousin.
