      From THE COLUMBUS (NE.) TELEGRAM, July 6, 2001-

      LEIGH - Eleanora E. Reininger, 90, of Leigh died Tuesday, July 3, 2001, at Alegent Health Memorial Hospital in Schuyler.

      Services are 10:30 a.m. Saturday at St. John's Lutheran Church in Leigh with the Revs. Scott and Charlotte Anderson officiating. Burial will be at Leigh Cemetery.

      Visitation will be 4-8 p.m. today at the Leigh Memorial Funeral Chapel and 9:30-10:30 a.m. Saturday at the church.

      Mrs. Reininger was born June 20, 1911, in rural Howells to Emil and Augusta (Christ) Blecha. She attended rural Stanton County schools and Clarkson High School. She was employed for two years at Concordia College in Seward.

      She married George Reininger Jr. on April 27, 1937, in rural Howells. After marriage, they farmed south of Leigh. Her husband died in May 1977, and she continued to live on the farm to the present time.

      She had been a 4-H leader, taught Sunday School and was Sunday School superintendent for many years. She was very active in the Lutheran Church Women, was a member of the Leigh Garden Club, Sunnyside Club and the Jolly Wilsonettes Neighborhood Club. She loved to garden.

      Survivors include one daughter, Ruby Reininger of Leigh; two sons, David (Kay) Reininger and Roger (Dyanna) Reininger, all of Leigh; four grandchildren; four great-grandchildren; one brother, Harold Blecha of Olympia, Wash.; and one sister, Pearl (Leonard) Asche of Omaha.

      She was preceded in death by her husband; one sister, Orvilla (Herman) Marohn; four brothers, Emil Blecha Jr., Leonard Blecha, DeLaine Blecha and Robert Blecha.
